EffterStudio
Frank F and JQR, both Italians from Milan,
met for the first time in the summer of 2009 in Berlin,
having both moved there earlier that year.
With extremely varied musical backgrounds,
the two decided to join forces in creating a new project called Effter.
They mix electronic and industrial metal, classical piano and
electronic moods, with oppressive rhythms and noise.
After a few months playing together, Effter were signed by German label Danse Macabre Records.
On May 27, 2011 they released their debut album entitled
"Bilateral 602".
Since then the duo have performed many gigs, created EPs,
remixes and videos as part of their work.
Meanwhile there is a burning desire to take their work
to the next level by writing soundtracks too.
In March 2012 Effter launched a new project entitled "EffterStudio".
Frank F and JQR write songs, atmospheres, ambience for drama-thriller-horror movies
and videogames that need a dark and ominous sound.
Bio
Effter are:
Frank F (guitar, keyboards, bass, vocals)
He started playing in 1994. Between 1998 and 2006 he recorded
2 EPs and 3 full-lengths for three different Italian labels
as a composer, guitar player, and on the last one, as a vocalist.
In 2008 he recorded a solo album playing all instruments and performing vocals.
Since 2008, in addiction to guitar, vocals and bass guitar,
he started playing piano and keyboards.
Alessandro "JQR" Ielo (sound engineer, sound designer, knob twiddler)
In 2005 he received an audio engineering degree at SAE (Milan).
Between 2005 and 2009 he worked as a ProTools operator in a
recording studio (Radio Italia) and as a live FOH sound engineer.
He also works as a sound designer, electronic music composer
and video/graphics producer under the name JQR.
